CADWELL PARK FORMULA 3 CELEBRATION CHALLENGE

Chris Sharples has managed to persuade Mr Anthony Goddard, to release some of his finest Southern Ale, to the Wild Wolds of Lincolnshire. This is to be a prize for the fairest of the Formula 3 paddocks of them all. It is the clash of the paddocks, Classic Formula 3 against Historic Formula 3.

With your Final Instructions will be a paddock allocation plan so you can see which area you have to play with. On the Sunday the worthy judges, Mr Goddard (in his of chain of office) and Mr Sharples ( wearing badge with Chairman on it) will pass amongst the paddocks to decide which is the best presented. The winners will receive 5 cases (60 bottles!) of Mr Goddards home brew.

The judges have indicated they will be open to bribes, co-ercion and blackmail, paddocks which are historically correct may garner extra concourse points, so a few empty Watneys cans, support Transit vans, and ancient caravans being more appropriate than the current standard HSCC gin palaces on wheels. Of course the judges do have long memories and can still remember that at the time ladies wore hot pants, flared trousers and mini skirts. Whether they can remember anything else at their time of life is open to conjecture.

We do hope you will accept the challenge remembering that all is fair in love war and motor racing.

I am forgetting this is not a normal weekend it is Easter. So perhaps you could engage the judges with a variation of an Easter Egg hunt on Sunday night. Saturday you will be busy setting your pitches and preparing the themed bunting.

Of course with all this glorious weather now, you may have to consider how to stop the cars and trailers from floating away when the combined effect of two concurrent Bank Holidays creates a fortnight of monsoon conditions. So wellies and Pontoon staging maybe considered as option B.
